On June 24, shipping company Ocean Network (ONE) announced the implementation of the surcharge on container weight difference. ONE said the charge will be imposed on Asia-Europe routes and only on westbound routes. Please note that ONE will levy a penalty if cargo details are incorrectly declared at the time of booking. A weight difference charge (WDS) of us $2,000 per container will apply from 1 July 2022 (booking acceptance date).
