European and Mediterranean route freight plummeting!

The latest Shanghai Export Container Freight Index (SCFI) shows that the index has fallen to 2963.38 points, a decrease of 134.25 points or 4.33% from the previous period. European and Mediterranean routes have both suffered heavy losses, with significant drops of 11.91% and 9.73% respectively, while the US East Coast route continues to experience a slight decline of 1.25%.
The market situation is chaotic, and the actual transaction price is much lower than the price announced by SCFI. Several flights on European and American routes have experienced loading rates of less than 80%, and some overtime ships on the US West route have also been suspended in an attempt to stabilize freight rates. Due to declining demand and freight rates, it is expected that more flights will be suspended before the Golden Week, and carriers are urging shippers to be prepared for emergencies.
