US President Trump signed an executive order on the 1st, imposing a 10% tariff on goods imported from China. This latest trade protection measure by the US has been widely opposed both in the international community and within the country.

According to the executive order, the US will also impose a 25% tariff on goods imported from Mexico and Canada, with a 10% increase in tariffs on energy products from Canada.
