Breaking! A container ship full of China cargo exploded and caught fire
According to the Indian Ministry of Defense, at about 10:30 a.m. on June 9, a container ship "Wan Hai 503" owned by Wanhai Shipping suffered a serious container explosion and fire about 130 nautical miles northwest of the coast of Kerala, India. There were 22 crew members on board. The accident injured 5 crew members and the whereabouts of 4 others are unknown. The ship is still burning and drifting at sea.
According to reports, there were 650 containers on board at the time of the accident, of which 20-50 containers unfortunately fell into the water. The ship serves the CIX route from China to India. The ship is loaded with cargo transiting from Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Shekou and Singapore. The destination ports are Port Klang, Colombo and Nawahiva.
